Atleast 70 percent of people in the queer-community were bullied in school
and many also come from precarious family situations. The fact that we are
barely talking about mental health issues in these communities is terrible,
because it is very much needed. Statistics show that LGBTQ-people as a group
have a lot of mental health issues – WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT FEELINGS, EMOTIONS and we need
to talk about SEX and RELATIONSHIPS and feelings and not just assume that we’re
happy and ok with everything. More on this issue in a post tomorrow...
