New York – lets hope the little
prospect for that exciting performance job turns into a wide open door leading
to a fantastic space. Nevertheless – I’ll be back soon, NOW: Finish up the last details on the poems
that are gonna be on my album (Available on itunes and spotify etc around may 15th) and continue with my research and writing assignment on Frida
Kahlo and realize more and more how similar our emotional landscapes and
intensities are. This is the magical life I want to live, full of EVERYTHING –
the loudest laughter, the broken bottles, the cropped hair, the passionate
love, the temper, The Revolution, the gender-bending, the colorfulness, the
creativity, the energy. AS MUCH LIFE AS A BODY CAN POSSIBLY CONTAIN.
And PS, some spiritual politics. So many good points, especially from 8 minutes on. Courage=to tell the story of who you are with your whole heart - to dare to be imperfect, authentic. Vulnerability=necessary, beautiful, uncomfortable. Shutting off vulnerability=shutting off real joy and other wonderful emotions. Blame is often a way to discharge pain and discomfort. We pretend what we are doing doesn't effect others. "To feel vulnerable means that I'm alive"
PS 2 I wish I could sue the douche-dudes who have pulled this type of shit with me! I'd be rich! John Travolta, bastard! Oh an by the way, get out of the closet!
